Ya, had nothing better to do that day and the store was pretty dead, so had an interesting convo about living in Seattle, Blackbird's buys, and then a bunch of other stuff.

Random fashion thought: My car was stolen last night. The cops saw the thieves driving it sometime early this morning somewhere south of town and gave chase. The thieves sped off but ended up smashing the car into a concrete barrier, destroying the right side of the car and totalling the vehicle. The cops arrested them on the spot.

This morning I went to the tow yard to get my things out of the car. When I found it, I saw that it was literally filled with dozens and dozens of women's shoes and boots, Jordans, a pair of 7FAM jeans, Mark x Mark Jacobs sunglasses and assorted knock off Chanel random things. And a huge handbag full of cheap makeup with the tops taken off, so the car smelled like a whorehouse.

The car is probably being crushed right now at the salvage yard as I type this.

That was weird.

My car was stolen earlier this year, haven't had a chance to get a different one yet.

It turned up in some tow yard with no bumper, empty 40's, condoms (still in packaging). bastards!

I think I've posted this before but it's topical I guess. When mine was stolen it was found a few days later in Jersey City, pretty decently stripped but with some parts swapped out from their car (headlights, taillights, front/rear bumpers, wheels) so there wasn't a trail of parts outside the chop shop. but inside they left a bunch of weird ****, like half finished water bottles as well as some sealed ones, a crappy watch, an almost full pack of Kools, a Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt, and a ****** knife.

they also emptied out my glovebox and left this inside

sadly no 40's or condoms.

I negotiated with insurance to get the car back so I could part it out, so I had and then sold essentially what were stolen parts on my car? sort of.

styleforum look right now is:

some type of textured/deconstructed blazer
tee
jeans
boots.

No hate I do it all the time too. What's next though?

The tee over blazer thing it seems comes from our desperate need to differentiate ourselves from the cleanshirts (aka MC), what else can we do? We wanna look nice, but god forbid we look stiff or fuddy-duddy-ish.

I kinda like the idea of maybe western shirts with those big ass collars, like early Elvis as a way to casual-down shirts and blazers.

hmm what's the best color to dye a BoO shirt that has a light coffee stain on it (original color is light chambray blue)?

- replace jeans with flowy or cropped pants
- casual suit with sweater or tee
- shorts with blazer, cool sandals ;-)

You know the answer already -- wear a good leather. Leathers are right in the SWD wheelhouse. I can't think of a good MC leather fit.

Good ideas. **** that means I have to buy more stuff though....

I will try shorts with blazer next summer, although degree of difficulty is high.

well, yeah, leather+jeans+boots is a bit of a given.

But i'm talking more about utilising vestiges of formality in a fit, which is kinda what the blazer over tee thing is. leatherjeansboots doesn't really have anything aspiring to formality.
