1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Nah man

Worst thing about the Alden thread is how they completely refute the awful QC that Alden has

There have been so many posted shoes with leather cracks and split heels that people REFUTE even with photo's etc..

Just bought a new pair of raw denims and my gawd I feel so awkward in them.

I dont mind the stiffness but its the dark blue color. I feel like a total stiff in them and dont feel like I look right in them

I never recalled feeling this way when my old jeans were new.

Help! Even wearing a standard white T shirt makes me feel awkward in them.

    Has anyone had this issue?

I find myself going back to my old jeans

Why do people ask "I have brand x, how does it fit compared to brand y" when brand y has very specific measurements listed? Laziness? Incompetence?

I find that measurements don't always convey the overall fit of a garment. It is good to know on a more macro level whether something fits oversized, boxy, slim in the arms, whatever

Measurements can be misleading, in my experience. I have bought a whole bunch of things that should fit numerically, but just...don't.

measurements don't always tell the whole story. sometimes the cut of a piece can make it fit differently than you would anticipate based on measurements.

I just bought my first pair of Aldens. Am I condemned to wearing 7 inch cuffs and calling random strangers uncle? :(
