1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

As someone who has always sort of hated needles, I've never bothered with tats or piercings. Honestly, I've only ever seen like one person with actually good tattoos- it was this girl I saw briefly last summer who had about 9-10 HUGE ones, all from the same artist, some guy with a good rep in Portland. She said they didn't really have much meaning behind them, she just trusted the artist and picked out the designs she liked best. Looked pretty amazing imo, coloration was beautiful.

Anyone catch Mr. Selfridge, the new mini-series that centers on the real-life story of the flamboyant and visionary American founder of Selfridge's, London's department store? Featuring Jeremy Piven antics set amongst a tantrum of clothes, it seems the only way this could be more SF-approved is if it also co-starred Patrick Bateman.

    Good times.

Saw a clip of it and it just looked like Ari Gold in period costume. Jeremy Piven can't act.

Got called up by a design magazine today, who had an amazing offer, which as it turns out was the same they called about 2 months ago. (10$ a mag instead of 14$)

It got me thinking do people actually still buy furniture magazines etc., when you can find the same info for free on the interweb.

Because it's easy, easier than doing it yourself. You also have the validation from the editor's experience whatever it may be.

Got a question about funky translation (maybe) from rakuten, can anyone help me with what this means exactly?

Sleeve and shoulder width plus the length from shoulder to hem: 90cm

That's like 35 inches, which makes me think maybe its from the hem of the sleeve to the line of the opposite shoulder? If its measuring both arms and the shoulders that seems comically small, also wouldn't seem to fit with the body length of the coat which is 94 cm.

    Help appreciated :D

it appears to be raglan sleeved so it's most likely the cuff to the outside of the neck on the same side.

I bet they measured it from the middle of the collar to the end of the sleeve, like a shirt, i.e. a 16/33 shirt measurements means 16" neck and 33" measurement from middle of collar to end of sleeve. If so, 35" should be a standard/normal length for that measurements, unless you have particularly long or short arms.
