1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Miley there's a pic of me wearing it under the cloak shearling. It's currently in another country, though.

Does it prolong the life of a pair of jeans if you give them a day or two break between wears? I almost literally wear the same pair of (grey dior) jeans every day. No idea what I'm gonna do when they wear out... kinda thinking I should look for another pair of grey Levi's or something so I can alternate?

yes, if you wear them half as much they'll last twice as long.

I thought it was sort of apparent that I meant longer as in number of wears, not actual time passed...

yes, it's a common belief that giving fibers more time to rest keeps them stronger longer. is it true? well, there's so many variables out there, it's hard to say.

Thats cool they chose Palm Beach we don't get much other than the Chanels and Ferragamos. I practically live around the corner from Worth Ave and eat there all the time, and I had no idea. Next time I am walking down to Saks, if they allow walk-ins I will have to check out. I'm an IWC man myself but damn those are lovely. My dad will love this though

I'm in a J Crew right now and one of the employees is a guy in his mid-50s running around with a popped polo collar under his blazer. All these people looking like they're wearing fucking costumes; is this what every J. Crew is like?

just got a second look; he's actually wearing a polo with the collar popped under a button-down under a blazer. Rolled socks and loafers when it's 35 degrees out. ffs

I thought it was apparent that I was joking.
It stands to reason that it could last longer but I doubt there's been any scientific analysis done on the subject. Unless you can channel the tangent reality where you don't wear them every day and let them rest, I'd just do whatever makes sense to you.

I'd take ALS over IWC any day.

Lange 1 or JLC grand reverso is probably going to be my next watch purchase. And Lange 1 tourbillon one day...
