i've realized that, due to its insular nature, sw&d is actually a mini-replica of the greater forum in which it resides. everything and anything here exists already, albeit tailored to suit the tastes of a subset of the million+ unique visitors / day the site receives.

i'm not sure how i feel about that yet...

in other news, second item in row i sell on ebay and the buyer is not paying / communicating. which one of you is ebay-trolling me :plain:

At the Drive in is back together, hell yeah!

Seconding (or thirding?) CoCa's SSTB and Strawberry Jam. I'll throw in Jeff Buckley's Grace, Arcade Fire's Suburbs, and Brand New's The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

SSTB and Thursday's Full Collapse really opened up my musical interest in my formative years.

Which poses the question "Will we still be active forumers in 20-30 years ?"

Can you envision forum members whose contribution spans decades ?

For some reason I find that idea fascinating.

I never got this, didn't care for that album at all.
This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About is by farrrrrrr the best thing they ever did in my opinion

Also I think Fucked Up and Iceage toured together so that could be why they were mentioned in the same sentence...

I like Wavves alright but I felt that they are a less honest version of something like Ty Segall.
I love Ty Segall so much.

I'm going to see Wussy tonight, has anyone outside of Cincinnati know about them??

there are some that are now at or nearing a decade already. i won't last much longer though, not sw&d at least.

but don't forget :: you never quit SF, SF quits you :teach:

I think that LCW is a much more cohesive album nd has gotten many more spins from me. But ! Whatever, opinons.

I was at the Fucked Up/Iceage show and although both were good, they were drastically different.

wat did u just say to me?

i have gotten stuff tailored and i wear jackets, trousers far more often than denim
but i wear stuff like ann raf cdgh+ jackets, in different fabrics and treatments sometimes strange patterns,
raw hems or drop crotch or tapered bottoms, etc, longer shirts, often untucked, or with tees
they'd throw a fit if i went there with that. i am anti-fit volumed tailoring #menswear and i don't adhere to the meticulous rules.
