My cousin bought a second cat specifically for the reasons already mentioned. It's been a disaster. The cats hate each other and often get into altercations that turn violent (i.e. blood is shed). Oh, and at some point, they got accustomed to eating at certain times, so they will go nuts with meowing at specific times of the day if they do see food in their dishes.

    Fuck cats.

I had a friend who lived with his mom and his brother in a 2 bedroom tiny apartment. They had 13 cats.

This is true, but most people I know cite 4 as the nutter threshold.

I had cousins with well over 20 (I'd guess 30-40), but it was because they lived on a farm and the cats bred faster than they could do anything about it (I'm sure some were feral/neighbours').

That's pretty funny. You have to do it when they (both, ideally) are young. Was the first cat >1yr when the second was introduced?

See what I did there? Cmon.

"The old Union Pacific doesn't come by here much anymore . . . ." (train comes past, displaying the words 'Union Pacific' on each of the many carriages, and when it has passed, the cat lady is there, still hurling cats)

That cat lady was one of my favourite characters till they actually gave her lines and a backstory.

I always use kopping instead, is that a faux pas ? I feel like the "k" adds a certain aggressivity which is more in line with my buying behavior.

I rationalize my cat ownership by telling myself they're just like small panthers really.

Pretty sure the one cat is at least a year older than the other. That's the one that instigates the conflicts despite being a normal-sized cat, while the other one is roughly the size of Andre the Giant.

I use the "k" version as well. But only because cop, in English, is a police officer.

I like cats, but I'm allergic to them. My sister used to have two cats that were basically self-sufficient. They mostly fed themselves by hunting. Every once in a while they would bring my sister a "gift" of a dead animal. They were very thoughtful.

If you're single and live in an apartment in the city, its much easier to own a cat than a dog (and a hell of a lot cheaper).

    Also- what goldentribe said

cats are cool as shit. they're slinky as shit so you can wear them as a scarf and if you get them young enough you can get them to become accustomed to be your hat.

It's called animal hoarding. I'm pretty sure there's a television show about it here in the states.

That is literally one the my favorite Simpsons moments ever.

Watch "year of the dog" to see the dog version of animal hoarding. Actually, don't- it's a horrible movie.
