I would have never guessed that from your avatar.
Oh. Hahaha...probably just someone consciously interested in fashion, rather than the type of guy the walk-in stores are equipped to service (ie someone who needs a pair of steel toes in a hurry, because he's working in his work wear, or because his new job requires it). I thought the postmans, at least, would be a safe bet, but apparently not. They are part of the heritage line as well.

After reading the red wings thread, I started to look for red wings myself. One of the authorized resellers was really helpful. Living in Japan with size 11 feet, its not easy finding my shoe size. I asked if they carried large sizes and they were quick to let me try a pair. I declined because I was just looking and didn't want to waste their time digging out a pair for me to try on. However, they gave me their catalog to keep and said they can order whatever shoes I wanted if they didn't have it in their store.
I was really amazed how helpful they were. While one was helping me, another SA was helping another customer try on a pair of Tricksters, along with how to care for them. The guy was throwing in shoe polish with the shoes.
I would have imagined any authorized reseller would have the ability to order shoes from the catalog regardless whether it be from the heritage line or not.
Trickers come with polish I believe...
Oh, I'm sure they could have. But I asked whether I could return an order based on the likelihood the shoes wouldn't fit, and was told they would fit -- because they'd have me try on a different shoe in the store. Sounded like a big fat no to me. That and the chuckling over the heritage line drove me straight home to the interwebs.
I dunno. To me it just underscored the growing absurdity of brick and mortar stores in the first place.
(Not that I don't love Red Wing shoes. My Pecos boots have lasted nearly fifteen years).
Obsessed with this song. Sorry I can't find the album version, I'm not on my work computer that has the file on it
you're going to King Krule tomorrow, right? My friend that was supposed to pick up our tickets never did, and it's sold out. I'm thinking I might try my luck at the door? Worst case scenario I just go next door haha

Hahaha thanks for the effort dude. Chicken farming is not part of my vision (yet...)
Usually when I wake up I read these daily NYT emails I get, found that shit in the style section. Ugh. Terrible way to start the day. Good thing I got a nice haircut, put things on the right track.
And ever closer to the perfect duvet coat!
