I think Cormac actually admitted that it was a joke in an interview or something, don't remember where I read that.

Personally, if I had to categorize the book I'd call it a comedy. There's no plot to speak of, the reader doesn't particularly care whether anyone lives or dies and the joy of reading the book is page-by-page, not some sort of desire to find out where it's going or what happens next.

All reasons why it would be a terrible movie. No Country for Old Men worked because it was practically written to be a screenplay. To be honest, I'm not sure why they picked this one and not All the Pretty Horses.

Isn't ATPH already a movie? With Brad Pitt or something?

Obviously the movie translation would require a bit of restructuring, but it wouldn't be impossible

They need to scrap the Blood Meridian idea and just do Child of God, which would actually make a good film.

I just miss the classics, y'know, like The Karate Kid or Harold and Maude.

any jeweler worth his salt, whom you trust, will be able to do that quite easily. Having a ring resized (larger or smaller) a couple of sizes is no big deal.

I think you're being facetious but I watched Harold and Maude a few weeks back and all I can think about I how bad I want a shooting brake jaguar. would be sooo cool without the extra hearse trim

This is awesome. The Jersey Shores look, Swedish edition. Essentially, he could be The Situation, but with a lot less muscle, and a scarf.

wtf is up with the tightroll coming back, btw? I did that when I was in grade 8. Also, with deck shoes. That kid is probably young enough to be my son, so he would not remember the steez of 1987.

So my gf is going to join a clothing forum tonight, what are the top 3 for women? She doesn't really want a specialized forum like Purseforum, but a broader one like SF here. Suggestions?
