Depends what you're looking for. Despite your MMM sweater mistake, his pants, button downs and outerwear (but not blazers) generally fit TTS if not large at times. Dries Van Noten will work, Ann D as well. You live out in the Bay Area, right? Go to Barneys, try a bunch of shit you have no intention of buying on and get your sizing right.

EDIT: Or just listen to LA Guy.

i think the back lash against TOJ is a back lash at the TOJ fanboys and not the brand itself. it's like.. ron paul.

There is no backlash man, there was just Lane talking shit and playing the victim later... after somebody else posted that he was gonna talk shit and then play the victim

I do agree with Fuuma, people who like my stuff tend to just recommend TOJ as some sort of foregone conclusion and sometimes I do say to myself 'that guy needs something completely different' - I am not trying to smother the world or even the forum in TOJ. I mean, fuck, we can't even make that many things, so it's not really supposed to be some standard issue item. I just posted like 10 hours ago that I liked the fact that people who buy my things understand what they're getting and that it's not just clicking 'checkout' on revolve clothing or something....

It's getting more common as time goes on, because well, more people are in the fray. You don't even want to know how many TOJs are floating around out there - you gotta realize I've been doing this for 2 and half years now, and feel like I haven't even really started. Likewise, you'd probably be surprised at how many pairs of Epaulet pants or WvG shirts are floating around out there now. It's not just the 5-10 guys who post fits. People are recommending these things because they own the products and probably just want to share something they like. Fair enough.

Obviously, a lot of random people wander onto styleforum and ask questions like 'hay guys, I'm looking for a black leather jacket that looks like this (insert pic of standard leather jacket that looks like a TOJ) and I want it to fit perfectly, and I got like, 700-800 bucks to spend" - I mean, in that scenario, it's not far fetched...

I was taking the piss out of Lane because he deserves it. Lane, hugs.

Yup. I've got a PM from him about a topic I prompted him on that I find myself reading again now and again just because I found it so compelling. And I appreciate it's done so sans the pretentious dick-waving that seems to characterize attempts at insight some are prone to.

Same here. There's a time and place for the deep thought, but you miss out on some enjoyable times when you try to analyze every nuance of day-to-day operations.

All of your shitty incendiary posts are "offhand comments" I guess, seriously, this is not the result of an offhand comment but the result of a shitty pattern of behavior you have. Everyone has a problem with you and it's not everyone else's fault. If you're just going to be a little bitch all the time why are you even here?

fYI: those interested in giant safety pins can purchase them at any tack (horse equipment) store. Just ask for saddle pins; paint them to your taste.
