This is fantastic. If I lived somewhere colder I would be really into something like this.
hahahaha what the fuck
Ok, so last night I'm at this thrift store where I volunteer once a week (not that I'm any great humanitarian; I mostly started volunteering there to meet girls), and two guys walk in wearing Nudies. Possibly matching pairs. Anyway, I could count the number of pairs of Nudies I've seen in Philly on one hand, and that's including the pair that I own. One of them is wearing a camo Supreme box logo cap, and the other is wearing this camo jacket that I couldn't place, but I'm 85% sure I've seen it posted in WAYWT at some point, either here or on sufu. Possibly also Supreme.
The point is, at long last, 2008 has arrived in Philadelphia.
er, 2004. i think you mean 2004.
I had to unsubscribe to that thread. So many photos of nice shoes taken from so many bad angles.
Ill have to read more about him (on sz =P they have such better catalogs of designers work and some form of organization to it all) I mostly go over there to read about YY, Ann, and CDG stuff.
I thought of posting mine in there, but I think if I posted a picture of me wearing them and it was oriented correctly people would get motion sick.
Actually this has me thinking, why doesn't styleforum have more threads devoted to single designers, design houses, collections, etc. There are the usual things like the apc/jcrewfu/common projects threads, and the rare gems like the SS thread, but nothing about a lot of the designers seen on WAYWT or in RFT.
of course fedex would attempt a delivery moments after I leave.
I don't trust any fashion designer who says they don't care about clothes.
There's a couple of those threads lost in the depths of the forum but they historically never got much attention. One reason would be that the (slight) shift to a more designer oriented SW&D is pretty recent, another reason might be that threads like that already exist on other forums in a fleshed-out form and SFers interested in those brands don't really see the point of simply replicating those here if nothing of value is added.
I'm all for it though, if people are willing to contribute.
the lapels are gross
And it's reaaally long
My bad. I guess I'm a little behind the times, too.
More insights from MC.
To some of the more experienced posters here - would you rather have a few really nice items rather than more lower priced/quality items? For example, I have some nice things that I wear constantly but overall I really don't have that many clothes. I bought an expensive leather jacket when I could have bought a cheap jacket and 3-4 sweaters / shirts whatever.
I've got a nice pair of jeans, a pair of cheap overdye black jeans, a few button-ups, a field jacket, and a bunch of tshirts. I do have shoes covered though.
Curious whether you guys would do the same or go the variety route.
Well, recent DVN pick up is on its way back to Yoox. Decided it just wasn't working for me. Just ordered a Geller shirt and hoping it fits. I think at least half of all the clothing I've ever bought online has had to be returned. I wonder how much stores lose shipping for free and having items returned. For any place that does a lot of business online, that has to add up quick.
