1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Was just in all three of those cities two months ago. While the music generally wasn't great (hiphop / mainstream EDM ie. Guetta), they definitely did not close early. Was at some places until 6, 7 or 8 in the morning.

All the after hours in Toronto are like scenes from films set in some dystopian future. Smoking indoors, illegal gambling, cocaine dealers and thugs.

Now that you mention it, I have some vague memories of going out in Beijing in the middle of the week and coming back to the hotel at around 7. The club was pretty packed too. Met some girls that went directly to class after the night was over, haha.

Every time I visit the Y-3 store in Soho I wonder why nobody is talking about the brand. Decent prices and cool designs. Is it the association with Adidas that kills interest here?

    lots of reasons:

    - it's really not that cheap
    - adidas assocation
    - historically Y-3 has produced nothing but total dogshit - just horrible tacky branded shit
    - the most available items are still the tackiest things

I've wondered the same thing. I really like some of their stuff for comfortable/work out outfits.

because i go to school in a real city, our college cops are real cops - guns, they patrol a big area of the city, can arrest. also because of that they don't give a shit if you're drinking in public because they have crackheads to roust.

This. Most stores have horrible Y-3 buys, almost nothing without the massive logo plastered all over.

You really do have to go to check out one of their own stores to find the better pieces.

I'm in love with those cargos :satisfied:

I've always associated y3 with sportswear. And it's true, every brick and mortar store that I've seen y3 being stocked in is track jackets plastered with big y3 logos :(

I sort of like that last jacket ben posted.

Also, according to people on my FB, the vineyard vines "fall collection" is in full swing. Everybody excited to cop some nice pastel polos?

But really, I can do without the influx of that garbage that will slowly take over campus as it gets colder..

I've realized in the past 3 years my sense of style has degenerated from my senior year of high school to my now senior year of college. I got really caught up in school and DGAF about style like I did a few years ago cause I had thought I had all the basics I needed to get by in college (which in all honesty isn't very hard). After my nudies finally blew out I bought a pair of Iron Hearts on a whim while I was in SF and somehow that relatively extravagant purchase has reignited my drive to become fashionable.

I've put the majority of my clothes in garbage bags and sent them to goodwill, so now all I have left are a few t-shirts, button-ups, blown out jeans, and old boots to bum around in. This is my last year before I move onto being a professional (lab technician/grad school for science) so I figure it'll be fun and necessary to rebuild my entire wardrobe from scratch.

Also, some things in styleforum will never die. That cardigan thread has been there for years.
