God help you if J. Crew ever catches on to the shirt-tied-around-waist thing, though...

That's ok. Not too long ago a bottle of wine slipped from my hand and onto the rug below causing it to spill its contents on (and into) my cdg chucks. :embar:

OK, but does art only exist in extravagance? IMO part of the art of clothing is creating beauty while working around the restraints of practicality and pricing. Not everything beautiful has to be impractical. I'm not saying you can't use blindfolds and weird settings and stuff in a lookbook, but I am saying that there are designers out there showing runway collections that largely don't ever get produced. And that's absurd, to me. If the pieces you're showing aren't going to be available to buy then you are really misrepresenting yourself.

It's not that I don't find crazy fashion art interesting, I do -- but I'm not that interested in talking about it. I'm more interested in talking about style as a personal experience rather than an industry.

Greg Lauren's first "collection" was made of paper and not sold to be worn but to just be an artpiece. I have a whole thing to say but I just don't feel like it.

As a genderqueer person, I always dread signing up on new websites, and try to avoid the ones that ask for a gender and only offer two options.

Prior to Pottermore’s early opening, I scoured their FAQ and found assurance that the only personal information they wanted was my name, birthdate, and location. Well, come registration, I had to give not only those, but also a gender. And, of course, I had to choose between male and female.

Made me feel as though I don’t belong in the fandom.

C'mon man, he's just playing. I don't think Tween is investigating Pottermore that hardcore. Incidentally, I had a friend who was born with an intersex condition and worked with a lot of transgender youth. Many long talks about pronouns...
