Also, the guy who wrote that article is Blackbird's Alden specialist iirc

^Hah. I suspect if he's an Alden specialist he probably had no idea what to say about Odyn (those two aesthetics don't often overlap). They should've cut the copy down to this: "This cape, from the autumn 2011 collection, is made of blah blah blah [they don't say on the site]. The shoulders are oversized and slouch while the sleeves are close fitting. The body of the garment is ample but also gathers around the frame of the wearer such that it can be layered with pieces over top or underneath it."

Does Barney's carry Buttero in their B&M stores, or online only? Should I just call individual stores to see if they have my size? (Way too lazy/helpless to figure out myself)

IME if you call a big store and get a motivated SA they'll track what you want down for you.

Melon, I want to see pictures of your eBay vintage longwing phase....

I'm sort of undergoing a similar evolution, currently trying to add some big-ass crepe soles to my old shoes to make them look less MC. :slayer:

I can't remember if it was in this thread or another, but somebody mentioned a user named Tacobender who is an SA at Barney's. He is supposedly very helpful to work with.

Instead of a koplist I have an "outfits I would like to try" list, and use that as a loose kopguide. Still make impulse purchases though.

Yeah I have that too, shapes, colors, some specific details, overall silhouettes, but nothing too specific as far as brands/labels go.

Random thought: looked at some of Spurr's early shows the other day; holy shit was some of that stuff awful. Laughably bad.

If I was specifically looking for a hooded coat, I'd probably want something with a more shapely hood than the one you posted, snow. Since I doubt you'll be walking with the hood pulled over your head all the time, you need a hood that looks nice unhooded too :D

    Pretty sure it's sold.

I like Devoa hoods also, don't know if they have anything in the long coats department though.
