I woke up on Tuesday with a sudden burning urge to buy a Krane jacket, and am sort of weighing the pros/cons of dropping that much cash on a jacket from them: On the plus side, it's badass quality (right?) and should last forever. I'm kind of reaching critical mass on a lot of pieces, outerwear especially, so it seems worth it but:

On the minus side, it's about eight bills, and I'm worried the styling won't stick with my aesthetic over the years, and it seems, based on construction, that they're locked into a specific season whereas I'd like something a tiny bit more versatile........but man, those are some awesome outerwear.

I hit a gold mine today. A western/hardware/surplus store nearby had bins full of deadstock Conmatic, Talon, and Scovill zippers. Plus, I got loads of solid brass hardware for about 40% of the normal cost.

Edit: the zippers and other hardware were each under $1.50
