About a million Japanese stores.
Seattle had some strong wind/rain storms this last weekend. Not many people were out, especially in Ballard (I go every Sunday for the farmer's market which is normally busy).
I, for one, am happy with my restraint, and look forward to taking advantage of a bunch of poorly-planned implulse purchases a month from now. I can't wait for this shit to end.
Isn't Blackbird famously overpriced anyway?
Luckily I survived the sales buying only a pair of klipsch earbuds. Who needs clothes when you can hear every breath jeff buckley takes?
I've done this before, its fun. turn them inside out and use a seam-ripper to remove the thread from the section you want to taper. Or, try them on inside out and pin where you want the taper, so you can see how they'll look. repeatedly try them on and adjust the pinning until it fits your liking, and then sew the new stitching. Cut off excess fabric and reinforce your stitching. You'll almost always have to undo the bottom sewing and redo it when you finish, because the side seams on the pants/denim continue into the bottom.
If these are nice/selvedge, I would suggest not doing this, unless you have one beefy ass sewing machine. The stitching simply won't be strong enough to stand the test of time.
Yup, although I just turn them inside out and draw a line where I want them to go instead of pinning - but if you're brand-new to sewing, that's probably not the way to go (just use a ruler or whatever so that you end up with reasonably similar legs). Also, I've done APC's with a run-of-the-mill singer, but I broke a needle trying to redo the hems, so you may want to do that final bit (where there are 4 layers of fabric) by hand.
wait i bought bunch of stuff
actually 99% of that stuff was in my bookmarks for a year or more. what does that make me
A wise man; those are excellent purchases. Sadly, the 3 damir items I wanted did not make it to the sale in my size...
Wait, since when do you have TWO custom titles ?
Nobody buys my size... forever Doma-less
Since he almost broke styleforum, as APK put it so nicely.
Sales alert thread is the only one of my regular ones that I haven't caught up on since as of this morning there were over 500 unread posts. It's now 786 so I think i might just click to the end and start from there. f that
You need a third party to act as an escrow agent.
What exactly is Yoox's business model? Are they just buying remaindered collections from designers?
It's really just Shah innocently posting about the sale and then Styleforum collectively going batshit over CP's like they were stereo systems in the midst of Hurricane Katrina.
To sum it up, there was the semiannual crazy sale at the corner which took up about 783 of those, a context sale (wm!), an ln-cc sale, and an expansion of the ssense sale. That's about it
