I googled a little, which Wempe? The Flieger XL looks nice but at 45mm it might be comically proportioned in real life. The Sinns are mostly Valjoux 7750's whereas the Wempes seem to be ETAs... and so as preliminary choice I think one would stick to the Sinn. If it's for your dad you may want to throw other choices into the ring, like one of the Junghans Max Bills, some of them (although not the nice Chronoscope model) are in the kind of price range that 556 is in, and are a nice simplistic men's watch.

yeah, hes not into big watches...that rules out the wempe.
was looking at the Junghans, most are big too, correct?

they are 40mm I believe, they look bigger than they are because they don't have a bezel.

I've asked this a few times in earnest, only to be told I like, didn't get it. Man.

I need some new T-shirts. Still trying to figure it all out.

P.S. when are they fixing the avatars? Mine's the only one that looks TTS.

i think theres a fine line. i dont know if any actual design goes into a lanvin tee compared to a rick owens tee. the cut prob takes some R&D cash alone to develop an RO tee. i dont know anything on the design process, just me thinking out loud

    thanks for the input drew!

Yeah...n00b's perspective: I could hypothetically see cut being a factor; then again, my gf wears tees (and other items) with all sorts of bizarre-ish cuts, none of them driving up cost that much.

I doubt that even makes a big difference. And value and worth depend on the person I suppose. I, for one, will stick to Am App and Target tees :slayer:

B-Son / B::Scott makes really nice modal and cotton blend tees. A less plebe version of me would stock up on those, since at 60 bucks they're not exactly cheap but not expensive enough to send me into bouts of self-loathing.
