    THIS IS THE AUSTRALIAN SPELLING

Americans write "cuz" and Brits write "cos." Europeans would use one of the foregoing, not the Australian bastardization.

This post reminds me of that Carlin bit about how people often say someone "happens to be" the race that they are.

What are your worries though, man? This is business as it's been since the beginning of time. Are you worried that an ad is going to alter your own tastes? The mid-market Japanese brands that people on this forum admire all day have each paid into Japanese magazines since the beginning, and that is how those huge 300 page Japanese fashion magazines are made. Visvim would never get the chance to spout all its hot air unless it bought 12 pages of spread in SENSE, yada yada. That it is spreading to the American fashion business is no surprise. It is a sustaining and profitable model.

    You nailed it. :D

    Hey, don't forget this:

Step it up, kid. If you're going to call someone a hillbilly, at least have the decency to maintain the barest control over your diction.

Anyways, you should stick to your lulzier surface trolling. This kind of stuff where we get a behind the curtain peek of what's fueling it is just...icky. (Also, that was just one misguided gender studies comment away from being a Fellow Linguist post :uhoh: ).

how is ZARA footwear (boots)? i don't understand "100% cow leather"

what can that mean?...fwiw, they look and seem better than say AS

"RFT", anyone here in the news of shoppers this year (and stores) looking out for signs that say "made in USA"?

My essay workbooks are made in the USA. The lines don't match up from page to page.

hm, I don't see how that joke connects with my wishes. Obviously you will existence if you were born but this "happens to be" isn't quite the same as where I was going.

Though this leads into a race joke of its own.

I love how the new avatar alignment makes Jet's avatar look fat and pudgy rather than fit and stylish.

RFT (Conspiracy Theory): What if SVB were behind Miran? You'll notice that SVB is the only person who promotes the "Miran is Otter" theory? Is it possible that SVB created Miran as a vehicle to spur conversation about SVB's own style so as to drive conversation about how SVB's style should evolve?
