Not gonna bullshit here, I've hardly read any contemporary american fiction (well any american lit really, very few exceptions aside-Hemmingway, that kind of stuff).

I'm again guessing Fuuma would dig Auster, altho he's not as "great american novel" as Delillo or Roth. Delillo writes the SHIT out of novels.

I'd recommend Justice by Michael J. Sandel if you have time. Professor of Government at Harvard, and I believe his lectures regarding this particular topic are available on DVD as well.

Got mah cdiem derbies. They are unfortunately a bit blobbier than I thought they'd be. Would go well with yohji imo. Asobu are you a size 39 perchance?

TTS for a looser fit, but it will be very long. Down one for a pretty tight/slim fit. Also depends on if its a newer season or older. I think the newer ones you should go TTS on but be aware that it will be long and you might need to get some length taken off.

Delillo writes great sentences that accumulate. Pick any paragraph at random and it's worth reading just to hear his voice. However, he's not not exactly a yarn spinner.

Yeah, they'd go beautifully with Yohji. I'd love a pair, unfortunately those are way too small for me...!

I am always unimpressed whenever I read Delillo but I want to second the Auster recommendation since I really, really liked The New York Trilogy.

Big fan of this as well. And I love that collar.

ftfy. I think Delillo might be the most overrated novelist working. Talk about pseudo-profound writing...yeesh. Only Cormac McCarthy can top him, except McCarthy is saved by the fact that he can be great at times. (Ever read this piece by James Wood on McCarthy? I think he was spot on.)

Well I got my MIE 10 hole docs today and love them. Also have a pair of trickers with commando soles on the way so those are hopefully chunky enough but with a slim-ish profile. Now I'm broke, otherwise I'd get some monkey boots (ideally MOTO - gorgeous! - or the tall YYPH aw11 ones) ... and then what? Maybe a pair of oxblood or burguny solovair, but my GT's can cover that atm.

i wear a 3. i tried a two and it was too small. although, they were diff cuts/styles. both were trousers. the 2's were cropped and skinny. the 3's i have are loose with an anatomic cut. so this information does not help at all :D
