I thought you had acquired soft Camargue boots ? I was ready to *shakes fist in angry jealousy*

Yes, but they're on a plane so they don't count. I'm ready to return, however, depending on the material that is actually sent to me.

My fists will wait then. But ... what material could it be ?

Why don't you buy those Cloak boots (sz.44) ?

Apparently, a size 44 is somehow massive, according to everything I've read...

....although, reading those measurements it wouldn't seem that way?

is there any point to buying Dior 19cms that have been hemmed?
If you take an inseam of 30" or less, it could work out but otherwise you're removing a large part of what makes the fit so wonderful

I'd really love to have every piece of an outfit by Thom Browne, so I could do the whole head to toe TB thing. He's really the only designer I actually want to wear completely (minus boxers, MAYBE)
I like the look of his stuff, but really dislike the fit on me. I would probably have to choose McQueen for a one-designer wardrobe

****, those Lanvins are nice. Don't know which I like better either. The Bottegas have the pebble grain (somehow a convo started up here about pebble grain) and are darker, so I think I'd go with those. But I wouldn't complain about either really.
The FW10 Dior laceups with the strappy wrap thing were perfection

Quote: May have just been rumor, wasn't able to find anything pertaining to it in a Google search. CMxUndercover is such a weird collab

Also, if I like murakami what other stuff should I read? What have you guys enjoyed? I haven't been able to read for pleasure for a long time and quite frankly I'm getting bored of reading **** about environmental policy and management programs.
Read Voltaire. In French. You'll be a beacon for all the hipster girls whether you actually can read French or not

ughhh that feeling of trusting an incompetent tailor with over $500 worth of clothes
ffffuuuu.gif

when i asked him to tailor a pair of dress pants to no-break, he looked up at me and said, "what does that mean?"

edit: should probably mention that hes the only tailor close to me. i got a shirt back from him once and both the cuffs were sewed back on upside down. i brought it back and it took 5 minutes for me to explain that ********* up and that it's nearly impossible to button cuffs when theyre upside down. he tried telling me that they were supposed to be like that. asians and their stubborn pride

Learn how to sew. It'll save you from a heart attack or assault charge, however your disposition leans

Part of me wants to sell my Ricards since I never really wear them anymore, but they're so worn in that I'd have to sell them for such a pittance it wouldn't be worth it. Le sigh

I probably should've bought these last winter, but I really want some leather gloves right now. Who makes a good pair?

wow, I've never heard of slab. Sounds like exactly what I need to feed my desire for street/gritty side of rick, cuz this seasons he's all about glam/elegance.

sorry man was replying to meis. i guess you also needed to confirm delivery so EMS would have been best bet but they're heavy...
i did send a pair of boots to Thailand and was 50$ and they were really heavy not sure how you got quoted 80$ ??? anyway, i guess that's the risk associated with it huh

My bad (x2, since I didn't realize you were responding to meis), I meant that I paid $80 for the shoes, including shipping. I was saying that it seems ridiculous to pay half that much to ship them back. Not exactly a big deal, since we're talking about losing a meager sum off of a meager purchase, but the feeling of vexation is disproportionate to the magnitude of the situation.
