Anybody know what the cheapest method is for shipping a pair of shoes to China? It has to have delivery confirmation on the receiving end. Also wondering whether a box or a package is better.

I tried to buy fake Dunks from a guy and he sent me these awful Supras instead. PayPal sided with me on the dispute, but I have to return the shoes before I get my refund. I'd normally be on my own for shipping - which is ridiculous - but I guess I bitched enough that the rep said PayPal would meet me halfway on the price. Overall, it's a huge hassle and I still don't get all of my money back. :plain:

^ The guy should be paying for all of your shipping if the guy tried to scam you.

Thing is, I don't think he was trying to scam me. clark kent bought shoes from him, too, and he didn't have any problems. I'm pretty sure the guy just sent me the wrong pair of shoes by mistake. Still sucks that I end up eating some of the cost of his mistake, though.

Speaking of shipping... What's the cheapest tracked shipping to Australia (from US)? Usually I just use usps 1st class int'l since it's cheap, and they don't do tracking to AUS so there's no reason to upgrade to priority ... but I'm going to be shipping a more expensive piece so I kinda want tracking in case something gets fucked up...

(or just buy my Ervell Harrington from me and alleviate this issue...)

you can do priority + registered mail (+ $11) or express mail international (EMS) but they are usually the same price more or less after adding the registered mail, EMS is guaranteed delivery within a time frame which is under 5 business days for Aus I think. Not every country has guaranteed delivery dates, but you can always track the whole way with EMS. I guess 40-45$ for that ?

    Shoes were $80 shipped.

Even with PayPal splitting the bill, it's still a pretty lousy deal.

It'll be worth it just to get those ugly Supras out of my house, though.

sorry man was replying to meis. i guess you also needed to confirm delivery so EMS would have been best bet but they're heavy...
i did send a pair of boots to Thailand and was 50$ and they were really heavy not sure how you got quoted 80$ ??? anyway, i guess that's the risk associated with it huh

never fear. I'm strongly considering rising from the dead as the ghost of the pilot featured in this story here. All I need are some acne shearling-lined pilot boots. And probably a million other things, ad infinitum.
