Squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows, lunges, all that. I just didn't eat enough to facilitate much muscle growth. So if you look at pictures of me from when I first really started lifted four years ago and pictures of me from a year ago, there isn't a radical difference. Only once I started eating for growth (read: a lot more protein and slightly more calories) within the last eight or nine months did I start to put on some noticeable muscle.

That was my whole point. If you aren't eating for growth, you won't grow much with weight training, especially someone with your natural build.

But yes, easier to write it off as nonsense because it challenges something you said and allows you to once again feel like a brooding outsider who nobody understands.

ok, APK thats true. Wasn't thinking about that cuz I always associate weightlifting as something people do to build mass usually.

    I just can't be bothered.

I surf and snowboard but never often enough to have any effect. That's about it.

On a serious note, skiing makes thighsplosions. My PBJs were mad tight for a while coming out of winter.

    A-Basin opens tomorrow!

8% on the internet means 18% in real life. Love when people quote there body fat % on the internet and make it sound like 10% is normal when in reality its usually pretty fucking ripped with vascular abs.

“Cut” – >= 12% – More muscle separation appears particularly in the chest and back, outline of the abs begins to appear slightly.

“Defined” >= 10% – Muscle separations get deeper in the arms, chest, legs and back, and abs appear when flexed.

Ripped” >= 7-9% – Abs are clearly visible all the time, vascularity in arms is prominent, chest and back separation is obvious, and face is starting to appear more angular. Condition can be held indefinitely.

“Shredded” >=5-7% – Striations appear in large muscle groups when flexed. Vascularity appears in lower abdomen and in the legs. Condition can be held for several days with careful dieting. Competitive bodybuilders often aim for this state for competition day.

Sliced” = 3% – Muscles and tendons begin to appear in the face. Muscle striations and vascularity highly visible. Subcutaneous water levels are near 0. Condition can only be held for a few hours at a time. Not a healthy condition to stay in due to lower water level. Note – The male body requires 3% body fat for normal bodily function, women require 12%.

I think the first guy was in a nightmare I had once...

Second guy is pushing out a big one, like Bono-sized (if you've seen that South Park you know what I mean).

I was eating when I saw those pictures. :plain:

I sometimes have some lower abdomen and upper leg, uh, vascularity. Looks ok in the lower abs; on the legs, it just looks gross.

edit: I should probably make it clear that I have basically no muscles and therefore in no way resemble any of the sickos pictured above.
