Grenson? Felt the quality in person for the first time via Nordstrom Rack. Maybe it was just that pair of shoe (suede) but felt very light and plastic like...

Interesting you brought that up. I was wondering about the quality on these Grenson Archies, have been toying with the idea of getting them as beaters.

I keep seeing this posted as fair isle--it doesn't look like a fair isle pattern to me at all

Epaulet lists it as a fairisle pattern, but I'm not 100% clear on what makes something a fairisle. Is it just the presence of those little snowflakey-looking things?

Someone should buy the Paul Smith printed pants, they're amazing and not all that pricey for a runway piece ($375 iirc). I was tempted but managed to leave the store with an untouched wallet

I'm assuming that shirt is woven, so technically it can't be fair isle. Fair isle refers to a knitting technique, really, not a specific pattern. It has to do with how the yarn is carried while knitting. Most of what we call fair isle could also be intarsia or another type of colorwork, you'd have to see the reverse side to tell. That said, fair isle patterns do have some common traits (only like a half dozen colors tops, two per row at most).

Thanks, that's a far more thorough response than I expected to get.
