Im pretty much the same but im comin round. Just gotta really evaluate your kops, i read some thing jkissi wrote (in gq of all places) about having one standout piece per outfit and wearing stuff that compliments that piece. tryin to stick to that.

not really since there was no actual mention of margiela.

but would be an apt description.

re Stazy's epiphany, I'm kinda coming to the realisation that very little of my "designer" clothing works out for me - a couple of patrik ervell jeans, some black fleece pants, and a spurr blazer. Everything else I cling to because i love the idea of it, and am only now starting to move on.

Apart from those buys, what's easiest for me is just boutique-y basics like Epaulet and Albam etc. And of course footwear.

Do most people here (like me) have more shoes than shirts? is that weird?

after washing my APCs, I feel a little let down by the results. :/ Turns out, washing them in a washer takes away a lot more of the "starchiness" than I had anticipated. Shoot. They shrank yeah, but the color is just not the same. wondering how they'll fade now...

Keep at it bro. One of the relieving things you learn in your magical raw denim journey is that, eventually, you'll get that lived-in look regardless of the route you take.
