The guys at my post office are pretty competent. The only gripe I have with USPS is the long lines since they're always understaffed. But I guess that's understandable since they can barely afford to pay their electricity bill.

Nothing quite like getting a big box of goods and having everything fit perfectly. First real purchases I've made in a minute now, so it felt extra good.

My cousin came over for dinner last night and the USPS guy came up to him when he pulled up and asked him if he lived at the address, after saying no the guy gave him my package anyway and walked off.....

it would be even worse if he didnt give him the package and drove away. ive had something similar happen, my brother answered the door and the guy asked if he was me. he said no and the guy didnt deliver it :fu:

    Other fun shit about UPS

-if they can't deliver the package and you have to pick it up from them they will have one location. One. What if its a city of over 2 million people? Still just one fucking location for the whole city. All those smaller local locations, nope. You can drop off packages at them, but not pick them up.

-on the same note- at my old apartment they stopped leaving packages when I wasn't around to sign even if I would sign the back of the note like the directions say and post it on the front door. So I called UPS and they told me the rule was that drivers weren't supposed to leave packages at apartment buildings unless you or a neighbor or doorman was there to physically sign. I moved a month ago to a new apartment. Same sort of building as the last one (and still in the same city). Driver always leaves the packages in the building entrance

-two of the last three times I've put a package on hold so I could pick it up at the UPS location they've fucked up and put it back on the truck and out for delivery (which means I end up making a trip to their pain in the ass to get to main location for nothing)- and one of the two was shipped back to the sender.

-you can't hold mail (at least not as far as I know). So if you're going on vacation for a week or two and have a package coming... you're SOL

well in kit's case, luck played a part as it was family. now emphasize that scenario and it was some random dude. :fu:

i rather have my package wait a few days and personally pick it up than wait around or have it dropped off incorrectly.

Heads up, the Aloha Rag sale is ridiculous for their in house stuff and a couple other very nice things at very, very attractive prices.
