Just wear it? Why bother with something like that

My friend is getting into making leather belts and picked up some shiny nickel hardware. We were going to just sandpaper them tomorrow, but seeing if anybody might know of a chemical that will pull the shine off.

I dunno about a chemical, but bang-for-your-buck a wire scrubby (usually for pots + pans) would probably be cheaper if you're doing a lot of it vs. using sandpaper.

It is so rare that I see a man over 30 pulling off a leather jacket.
And I live in NYC.

I was scheduled to receive a package of clothes in the mail, sent with free shipping, but they sent it to my old address. USPS only forwards mail for free, not packages. So, they wanted me to pay them for full Priority shipping to get it to me from just the next town over. I instead told them to refuse the package and send it back so that Old Navy (it was for my daughter, OK?) could reship it to my current address for free, which was their suggestion. So, USPS gets to forward it and ship it back at their cost instead of just handing it to me, which would have saved them money. No wonder they are going under.

If it was brass, I's say dunk it in some lacquer thinner overnight. But, nickel is usually the shiny nickel plating. I would try something like steel wool before sandpaper. Or, buy a rock tumbler and fill it with sand and buckles :)

are they wearing oversized turdwash brown bombers? Because that is basically all I see on people over 30, and that is never going to look good. Also most people over 30 have let themselves go, which also does not help.

Outlier has some balls of steel to overprice their products out the roof. They have the most hilarious way of taking pics of their products too.

While it is true that being fashionable can be applicable to all people from all walks of life, regardless of age, etc., no one can deny the fact that the young ones are more excited and aggressive in so far as updating their looks are concerned.!

This is kinda random(thought) but it's been on my mind for a while.

From what I've noticed, regardless of factors such as class and race, it is the older guys who are more likely to tuck in their tee's/shirts/polos than the younger folk. It really seems that the older you are the more liklier you are to be rocking a look that involves tucking into your pants. I don't mind that whole aesthetic but it isn't something I really care for personally.

Now the question is: Are the older guys doing this because they're from an era where this was more common for people of all ages, or is this something you do as you grow older and become more conservative. I'm wondering if us young whippersnappers will inevitably start to prefer the same high rise trousers with **** tucked in.
