Uniqlo Heattech bottoms + H&M v-necks are going to be my unofficial fall-winter indoor uniform. I look like a surly ballet dancer, but it's so comfy.

I think this is the most disappointing thing I've seen you post. :(

The venue where I'm seeing them is indoors, but it's seated. Would much rather see them at the Electric Factory, which is big, but at least it's a club.

Yo I liked Sad Songs and Alligator until I listened to the lyrics. You've probably taken a creative writing workshop or two and that's what National lyrics remind me of.

There was an ABC YouTube interview with the two Dessners about the writing process where they basically say they do all the work and Matt comes in to make changes and put a few lines down. Made him look like a complete ass in the nicest way possible

Synth you should go backpacking. I do parts of the AT occasionally down here and it's so refreshing to get away from everything and have all you need on your back. I am sure there are some raid trails around you, and it's not a huge commitment either. 2-3 days out there and everything either clears up or your crisis gets even worse, depends.

Biking is also lots of fun, and I've found myself buying less and less clothes and more and more outdoors stuff.

    RE: National

I have been listening to Boxer nonstop lately, and it's been even more enjoyable now that it is starting to feel a little like autumn. And I agree with shoreman. I always prefer shitty, smoke-filled venues more than larger ones.

Show was decent. Yo la Tengo was a little irritating, actually, which was a bummer.

perfect for that mid-late '90's 'sexy librarian/schoolgirl' look that girls used to do.
