I think I screwed up my terms, I am indeed looking for an ivy/scally cap...not a newsboy.
Can you get a decent camera for around $400? or should i just get a shitty $100 one?
You can get a sweet ass canon for like 200-250ish dude.
o really? i don't know shit about cameras, all i've heard about is DSLR or whatever and that's supposed to be good right?
what's the good canon? if $400 is a poor price/quality range then spending less or more is a good thing.
I should probably take this to the lifestyle forum
Dunno what the market is like down there but in the US you can def get a decent used DSLR for $400 or less, but entry level new (with a normal range zoom lens) will be a tick higher than that.
will be much cheaper to buy from overseas, the retailers here haven't adjusted their prices to the high nz dollar, and even without that fact the market is smaller so they constantly rip us off.
There was a huge uproar when a programme found that buying an All Blacks shirt in the US or anywhere else was less than half the price in NZ at retail. Adidas also asked its distributors not to ship to NZ, but then caved when it went on the news.
I'm checking out the Canon S95 cos i don't actually know what DSLR even means or whether i'll be able to use it.
Oh you want a SLR type? Shit that's going to run you about 700 minimum. Digital cameras are far cheaper and can take some pretty amazing pictures. You've got to pay attention to optical zoom instead of digital zoom, is what I've read. Megapixels aren't as important as once thought, but still play an important factor when you're taking pictures, and blowing them up. If you're going to be printing in the standard 3x5 or whatever format, then you'll be fine. Canon makes some of the best cameras I've seen. So does Sony. Personally, I'd stick with those two, but you might have a difference price range in mind.
yeah chances are if you don't know what DSRL (Digital Single Lens Reflex) means then you'll have a hard time trying to take the perfect photo lol.
Something isn't right with this sentence.
Oh man, just got back from an ill-advised trip to C21. Trash upon trash upon trash. There was a full rack of Robbie Geller in 50-52. Not too familiar with the brand but prices seemed alright.
