Yeah. On my way to the cobbler/leather cleaner right now, unless anyone has any great ideas. I've heard something about baking soda, but I think I'll just let the experts deal with it, since the situation is definitely salvageable.

My car's still up on blocks, which means I'm driving around in my girlfriend's bright yellow beatle wearing all kinds of rick. SZ, eat your heart out.

You should buy snow's leather. It's worthwhile buying one on the cheap as an experiment. You can determine:

    - whether you like wearing leather jackets
    - what aspects of your jacket you like
    - what aspects you wish your jacket had
    - what aspects you don't like

I bought a super-cheap H&M leather off B&S ages ago, and while it's a crappy jacket per se, it helped me figure out what I wanted and didn't want out of a ToJ.

edit: This is assuming you don't mind potentially wasting your money on something that might not work out for you. I usually don't mind throwing away a little money every now and then for a decent learning experience, particularly if something's cheap and/or returnable.

I think the only person who really talks like this/would believe this is colabear:

    "EBANO CROCODILE CREEPER
    style 259084 V9470 2040
    $5,300

Crocodile leather - unparalleled and meticulously crafted - defines this elegant, glossy dress or work shoe. An investment in eternal style."

ok, mikey (i'm sure you'll ignore this but i'll give it a shot): GROW A PAIR OF FUCKING FASHION BALLS. jesus christ. my style is boring but your style gives me AIDS. obsessively obsessing over every fucking purchase is insane. if you think you can't pull off a leather jacket/a TOJ, GOD HELP YOU if you buy anything from junya or thom browne.
