What's a nice belt for around $150? I love the look of the M.A.+ ones but it's out of my price range.

BTW, I was just in this dilemma. It seems a lot of belts are under $100 and didn't have very good quality. Zam B was definitely an option but what I ended up going with was a Hollywood Trading Company belt per the advice of Eck. Don't let some of their other 'gaudy' stuff turn you off from the brand, check 'recent purchases' I just posted the belt I picked up. It was right at about 2 bills.

Ann D also puts out some pretty decent belts (from what I've heard) around that price range that are very basic in detail. I actually just saw one on Yoox for like $130 or something.

Lemme think on that. MA+ belts are pretty unique. Maybe try something from Silent by Damir Doma? The mainline is mucho expensive, but the Silent line is decent. You might go the Margiela route or the Ann Demeulemeester route, depending on your specific tastes. Not exactly MA+, but like I said, MA+ is pretty unique.

I had a MA+ belt and was not impressed at all for the retail price. Also, Eck had trouble with his and had to have it repaired like 3 times (I think, ask him for sure).

I like mine, but YMMV. Yes, the retail on them is ridiculous.

With that being said, I wouldn't hesitate to pick this up (on sale, that is)

That belt is cool but it seems like any competent leather worker could replicate it very easily.

But I feel with stuff like this you're essentially paying for the idea. Same thing with ann feather necklaces. You could easily make it yourself instead of forking over the $300.
