I ripped Zara the other day and I would like to back off that a bit. I went to one of their "nice" stores and there were actually some good stuffs for the price. The first one I went to had been picked over badly and was probably not well stocked to begin with.

I sold my Junya blazer on eBay to someone in South Korea and the mailing address is "NHN Green Factory".

Does this mean it's going to be used to make knockoffs?

^^ cant wait. I think I have to learn how to make my own vest and home-distressed sweaters before I am allowed to post tho.

Also tried on some f/w Lanvin bits to balance the day out. My favorites were a long dark navy coat (must have been for early fall as it was cotton/linen) with raw edges. Raw edges sound questionable in concept but look very right in person. The linen gave the fabric an unusual texture you don't usually see on a f/w coat, very cool.

Also an amazing navy velvet blazer, which sadly was approx $2,400. Probably costs $2,500 by the time I am posting as US currency continues to become more worthless by the hour.

found them here, a nice shop:

Darklands currently has something very similar from Viridi-Anne, but they're like $1000 or something.

    Welcome to the machine.

lol thumbs down from the shah

I think I was at their "flagship" (also lol), so I wonder if they feel an obligation to raise their game there. It seemed like an odd place to find in what is a very nice shopping district.

edit: or maybe I just had too much to drink at lunch

haha i actually had a proper response but then decided against posting. anyway, i've just been disappointed the few times i've stepped in to the stores and it all felt too cheap to warrant their asking prices. i guess would be ok on sale but then it becomes a matter of overconsumption and i and not in favor of that

Zara is probably the best mall brand, more swag than most MB stores if there ever was one.

There was a margiela-esque chunky cardigan I was going to cop to keep in my car as a beater for when I go down to the coast to smoke in the winter time, 85 bux marked down to 15.

Will post pics when I do cop (2).

Every time I walk into Zara I have the same experience: stage 1--some decent stuff in here actually; stage 2--get a little closer and realize there are only a couple pieces I would really consider; stage 3--actually handle those pieces; stage 4--leave empty-handed

What do you expect it's a fast fashion store in a mall, you're not going to find any high fashion shit made in belgium or italy in there but 15 bucks for a decent acrylic cardigan made in spain is not a bad deal. You won't have great feeling pieces but it achieves the get bitches/swaggy aesthetic everyone is after if you know how to put it all together.

It's not a wardrobe building store.
