1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

jezzus he looks awful, 10,000 years old.

I am gonna get banned for this, but I basically hate belts. Belts make you look 5-10 pounds heavier at the waist when you have your shirt untucked or are wearing a sweater, and create awkward bulges. Belts can suck it.

I feel the same way but it is necessary sometimes to use one.
It happens more so when I am tucking + sweater but less so when everything is worn untucked.

I was thinking about what it was about business casual I hate so much, and among other things I realized it was the belt. There are very few clean crisp minimal looking belts. More often they're clunky and bulgy and function more as a sartorial interruption than a harmonic part of the outfit. Even neato suits look good in spite of their belts, not because of them.

But nothing against belts in general. I hear they're fun to collect.

I don't wear belts anymore because I gained weight and when I tried to put on an old belt, my pants were all, "lol really?"

Spring weather is already here where I live. I still don't know what I want in my t-shirts. All I know is that I wish I had better ones, but every time I look for new ones I get discouraged.

Also, it's official (I know it's been expected for a while but whatever): http://runway.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/07/yves-saint-laurent-gets-a-new-designer/?ref=fashion
I'm not a huge fan but I'm still curious to see what this will result with. I'm really most interested to see what he comes up with for womens RTW and how it is received.

Oh, and on a similar note. I think it would be far more useful to have separate threads for each designer instead of brand. This would make a lot more sense for Dior, Jil, etc...amongst others

Couldn't you just have the waist brought in?

Also, can somebody please explain to me the difference between these:

and your standard pair of sweat pants you buy at Target? (0)

Yeah. I have this problem too. I think part of it is because I'm convinced my preferences will change and it will be hard to sell if I alter clothes. There's been some truth to that as I haven't really stuck to any style for very long yet (I'm getting closer, though). Also, I've convinced myself that at some point I'm going to start gaining weight and I will regret having things fitted. I'm still not sure about that last one, but I'm still skinny as fuck and there's no evidence for it yet.
