Oh? Excellent! Will be in France in September and was planning a stop in Paris to visit the flagship store anyway

Hopefully by then the current exchange rate will have become more manageable.

I can't wait to go to the Yohji store in London later this year. I'm with you on the exchange rate though!

I'd love to go to the Tokyo flagship and try on one of those velour coats in green with the nude prints, just for fun. Not sure if the European stores got those? Some of the EU pricing is gonna be pretty steep too - pants cost between €750-1050, those tweedy coats are about €2800 or so, monkey boots are just shy of €1k

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Sending my sister to the store in London to do reconnaisance for me :D. By the way, where exactly can one buy Harnden stuff? I am very interested in his stuff and would love to have some locations to keep in mind when next I am in Europe (I hope he is available in London at least?). The website does not help at all.

I am with you on those velour coats. Would not buy but look like hella fun to wear. Hope the EU selection is both varied and substantial, after all he still lives primarily in Paris right?

Yeah, you got to have some serious steez to pull those off in public. I don't think he's ever lived primarily in Paris though, except for a year or two in the 70's? I'm pretty sure that he lives and works in Tokyo and has been throuhtout his career. Either way I'm sure the selection in Paris will be varied and substantial, I was just unsure about the velour coats. I know they sell them in Tokyo now though.

    Ah I see! :teach:

As for that velour coat, maybe I should kop then wait until I get some title in my hometown/state then wear it for social functions mixed with some other traditional wear  it looks like it will go well with some raw silk, gold and coral beads :D

    EDIT:

Hmm...might do a variation of this later on this year actually :D

He doesn't sell online so it's instore only. In Europe the places I know of are Dover Street Market (London), L´Eclarieur (Paris) and Song (Vienna). The best place to read about Harnden is on stylezeitgist, here's a link to the thread about it:

I wonder how Ivwri was able to afford all of his baller designer cops considering that Nigeria has been ranked as one of the poorest yet most corrupt countries in the world. 2nd poorest by World Bank in 2005 and 2nd most corrupt by Transparency International in 2004.
