1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

there have been conflicting stories about GILT... a few weeks ago I read in the WSJ how the business was kicking ass and profits were way up and they were talking IPO. Now it's coming apart at the seams and the jig is up! Not sure what the heck is going on there.... but it sucks they'll be so many (presumably) well dressed people out of work.

At least it is better than the videogame industry. That shit is horrible, especially as several companies produced a game that did unbelievability well only to be let off after the project was finished.

Turns out that if you add something to your waitlist on Gilt, they show you something similar in the "personal offers" section that you can't find anywhere else on Gilt. *mindblown*

    Is this new?

no... they have some secret stash of shit I think they use to fill gaps in the orders.... seems so much stuff gets sold w/in 30 seconds of the sale even starting. On a good note however, I have gotten more than a few things I waitlisted... if even like a month later. Picked something up yesterday that had been waitlisted since before X-Mas.

The first pic is nice... The bottom one would work if you layer it. Maybe a vest and then a cool jacket? Or just a jacket

I really hate UK only auctions at eBay.co.uk. Why are so many people unwilling to ship to continental Europe? The buyer is the one paying for the postage anyway.

+1 I've been getting those emails for a while, though not so much lately... and I have gotten a couple things I waitlisted, which isn't very surprising considering how many things we return- I think I've probably returned at least 2/3 of the stuff I've gotten off gilt because they didn't fit, etc.

Snowman, is that the smallest size available for the jacket? If you can't simply size down, the sleeve length looks long enough where you could get them shortened above the placket, so the working cuff button wouldn't matter (in other words cut off the cuff and make a new one)

Yeah I don't think it really meshes with your current direction, snow.

I liked the blazer on the video presentation last year but seeing it in the wild it kinda looks a very bland blazer with gimmicky zippers

zippers on blazers are as good--both from utilitarian and aesthetic standpoints--as zippers on aeroplanes.

Isn't that what Patrick Bateman wore to kill Paul Allen?

For some reason I thought the zippers were on the elbow side which would've have made them appear at least pseudo-utilitarian, the actual zipper placement makes no sense for me though.
