The last looks really blobby and ugly though, almost squared-off at the toe.

If you don't possess even modest beard growing capabilities by your college years, forget it; ain't happening.

It's bison leather...supposed to get better with wear. On one hand I think it's fucking awesome. On the other hand I sort of think it does look a little cheap as that 'crinkled, sloppy' look on the boots look FANTASTIC, but on shoes.......IDK so much.

I was looking at those too.. and I think guidi black derbies/oxfords in soft donkey (Or soft horse) just look so much better. So I'm going to wait for a pair of those. I think the heavy grain doesn't work as well with the guidi slouchy aesthetic for this style. On some boots it may be a different story.

wayyyy off topic but I know you live up in that part of the state so I'm curious if you've ever been to The Golden Lamb Buttery in Brooklyn (CT) like for some special event or something I would assume. and if you have how is it?

I live like 10 minutes from there and ride my bike past all the time (just did today in fact).

Have never been though, sorry [IMG]

It is a beautiful location though, by far my favorite area of brooklyn.

    +1

I also noticed that as my facial hairs grew thicker, the hair on my crown became thinner. Just saying...

couldn't agree more. all i really listen to anymore is the stills, the national and bon iver

I don't think he quit, I think he's just been taking more extended breaks. He still posts occasionally.

In other news, I'm convinced the new Bon Iver album is one of the best albums to come out in the recent years. Many new albums from great dudes have been major let downs in comparison to their earlier work (Fleet Foxes, Sufjan, Tyler, etc). Honestly didn't think the guy could live up to Emma, but the self-titled is awesome in that it sounds similar to Emma but is still different enough and has a whole new feel/atmosphere to it.
