Yes, if its a suit jacket they tuck fabric under the cuff, which can be let out.

^Reverse tailoring? Does that even work?

it does and the socks don't fall apart as i had anticipated. depending on how you cut the socks (from the ribs vs. cut off and re-attach the toes) they may or may not lose elasticity. i only do that because i have too many atheletic ankle socks around that are too big for me (plus i regularly wear fairly thick insoles to prevent brain damage, j/k). all in all i'd say if you have perfect fitting rtw socks scissoring may not be worth it [IMG]

this. j is a really cool dude. he's remaking a pair of trousers for me that prematurely wore out in the seat. worth asking.

Do most pants come with additional fabric in the waist for letting out? Have a pair of Rag and Bone pants that I really enjoy but the waist is just way too tight for a non-denim pair of pants.

I want some black, wool, flared trousers and I can't find any

RO has some slim bootcut trousers, not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for.
