having been to the store in santa barbara, can't say that i am terribly shocked by this news. the layout was kind of odd, like one of those tourist hippie girl import stores, but filled with lindsey lohan wannabes.

I'm actually waiting for Andrew Marc to do a designer collaboration, but they probably don't qualify for the "hip to be square" status of a Golden Bear or a Vanson, which has never been uncool. You can tell who is really actually cool from just that thread alone. Mike C. went on to work at a forum favorite, and was featured in The Sartorialist a few times (including the cool early work.)
