You ladies need to get your hands dirty or atleast find an independent BMW shop and buy the parts yourself from places like autohausaz, bimmerworld, pelican parts etc. You'd have spent a fraction of that. All those things are easy to do with a buddy minus the alignment. Alignment on a 3er from a good shop runs under 200 bucks here in sofla. Parts for non M 3er are fairly cheap provided you know where to shop. I could do all that same work with a buddy for a few hundred bucks. 2600 is rediculous.....

Thanking everyone for being patient with me. I was just getting into style when I found the forum and I know I have bad fits and maybe too much enthusiasm. I'm really looking up to people like Stazy and wmmk who have developed an amazing sense of style after coming here with next to nothing.

I'm trying to rein it back by reading more/posting less and shopping more/spending less. I want to be a good contributor with worthwhile things to say but I'm realizing that I really don't have anywhere to speak from right now so I should probably shut up most of the time. I don't want to be the SWD Moo.

Much of SF falls into the latter category.

This is good to keep in mind. Saves me money, but it's hard to express the logic why.

i spent 700 dollars to have a door fixed on a car i'd hoped to ditch no later than November.

i test drove a jetta, and have hated my car ever since.

also, i could buy the shoes, camera equipment, and film I want and still have money left over if this cash hadn't had to go towards my car.

Yeah, definitely going with an independent shop next time. I do like driving loaners though :p
