Yessssss... new wardrobe just got moved into my office. Now all my work stuff can be here instead of taking up closet space at home. And I can wear whatever I want to work and just change. Sartorially-life-changing.

Washed my Crates for the first time today with Woolite Dark. Thought indigo would still bleed despite the detergent's propensity to maintain the dark color. My jeans are now darker than they were before and I feel foolish. /Facepalm.

    that's because they're wet

Actually, if it's an indigo warp/white weft, it's entirely possible that the wash just tightened the weave up a little bit, bringing the warp threads closer together and hiding more of the weft. [IMG]

    That, or what Uncontrol said.

After scouring Tumblr for several months, I've concluded that most white people around my age (mid-20's) residing in NYC (and more specifically, Brooklyn) all look alike to me. And I'm a confirmed white person.

    No hate scott.m or bows1.

Granted, there is a vast majority that look alike, though there are many that have strong sense of style, you just need to know where to look.

Just re-read, yeah most white dudes look alike.

I don't entirely understand that, but it is possible. Anyway, the jeans are dry now and on my body and I can say that they aren't darker now than they were before the wash. In fact, they look essentially the same with maybe a sliiiiight bit of fading.

Washing isn't really the huge deal a lot of denim wearers make it out to be. It's good for shrinking your denim and getting out some of the rumpling, if that's your desire. But I don't think that people generally need to make such a huge deal out of avoiding washes for the sake of their fades. My most faded denim is always my most worn denim, and the number of washes has very little to do with it.
