That's why I said inadvertently. It's amazing how so many people are just plain addicted to buying garbage, they walk out of stores like american eagle, cole haan, etc toting their bags with **** eating grins on their mugs like they won some sort of lottery.

some people really just don't care what they put on their body, and some people don't care as long as what they're wearing is "in." It's impossible to explain to these people why you spent xxx$ on margiela boots, and why you love them so much, or why every time you put on a pair of Petar Petrov pants you appreciate the little details more and more.

Nomad just upped their already ridiculous shipping rates. Do they just not want business from the States/online?

United States — trackable (5 to 14 business days)
Order Amount \t - Cost
$1 to $99.99 \t $30 CAD
$100 to $199.99 $40 CAD
$200+ \t $60 CAD

People are just too lazy to think for themselves any more. They'd rather blow 1k at BR or JCrew and look authentic and timeless than do the right thing and spend that amount on 1 or 2 pieces that are unique and will get more attention. For example, I was with some friends Boxing Day shopping, and I see one guy at American Eagle or A&F or something, and he was buying this fair isle mock neck. Thing was almost 200 dollars.. mostly cotton and acrylic, like 20% wool..felt awful. I don't mind buying cheap things (mainly basics) when the situation calls for it...but only if the brand isn't kidding itself of its mall brand stature.

Maybe, but that would be tough to transfer over to everyday situations.

"What's this stain? Oh man, my shawl must have gotten dipped in my bowl of soup at TGIFridays!"*
