While on the topic of business/casual, how are button down collars worn in a casual environment? I'm starting a new job Monday where trousers/button downs are mandatory, and would like to work some of my casual shirts into the dress code. Any "rules"?

What do you mean by how are they worn? Just wear them, there are no rules.

I should have been clearer, leave the collars buttoned or unbuttoned.

Pilati 2008. I rarely come across Slimane-era stuff, let alone any in my size, but I'm keeping an eye out

Do you happen to have any photographs from Slimane's YSL shows?

I prefer a button-down collar if I'm not wearing a tie, and I'd keep them buttoned while you're at work at least, unless it's really casual there. My only other rule is I don't wear short-sleeved button-downs to work, I have a couple but they look awful tucked in.

That dress code is so ubiquitous I thought the only way to stand out was to buy a bunch of button-downs in different patterns and colors. You're really better off keeping the shirts simple and mixing in some sportcoats or knits when it's cooler.

http://www.hedislimane.com/fashiondiary/ Has some backstage pictures (taken by the man himself) http://www.flickr.com/photos/2181542...7600067130640/ The 2000 collection (actually, I've never seen the whole collection, needless to say, bookmarked) And there are more on firstview, but you'd have to pay to access them (some day I'll go and download every collection with a 24-hour pass). Videos can be seen on youtube, but the quality is pretty bad and you won't be able to make out any details

Unbuttoning an ocbd looks sloppy and serves no real purpose. You can wear them with ties, I wore one for an appearance yesterday though in full court it'd be a no. Look best with knit ties, I think.
