Can one of you veterans tell me what the fuck kitonbrioni's deal is? I thought his incessant posting of itemized lists of boring MC outfits in the waywt picture thread was bad, but then I found his blog and saw some of the shit he wears. Holy fuck. What's going on? There's gotta be a story here. http://whatareyouwearingtoday.blogsp...max-results=20

He's the best troll ever. He's like a crazy cat lady that collects the most hideous shoes ever instead of cats. [IMG]

GAT's, to me, are a great sneaker design, because they 1) have a very mid-century teutonic, unbranded, clean look, and with the opposing angles of the suede toebox bit and the side reinforcement stripes, from a distance the contrast in the front does make the foot look sleeker and cooler and seems to elongate the rear of the foot while visually shortening the front because of the darker front. This mainly applies to the original GAT or the MMM white/natural suede versions (not the recent season ones either, more like the 2006's or 07's)
Also, 2) the design itself is functional and makes no excuses about the design details: the suede toecap that extendsover the top of the forefoot plus the extra pad layer in those reinforcement stripes make them a little more durable, and good for ball control - indoor, I'm sure, was played often by the BW. The soles being from the Samba and not another shoe is no coincidence either.
    3) they are obscure vintage militaria, which makes them cool as hell intrinsically, without being over the top military or unwearable, like most militaria can be, when worn in a civilian look.

Before I joined SF and it was the summer of 08 I can remember there being just AA / APC / CP WAYWT. It was the apex of the SF uniform, just as band was big but before any workwear got big. I was like WTF I'm going to MC

All of SF's t-shirt problems would be solved by t-shirts with unfinished hems, á la dress pants. (3)
