Anyone have good rec for summer weight merino boxer briefs?

I hate poly. I've tried em all, even some really expensive techy poly ones, and I hate them all. Need to switch to merino now I think.

Bamboo boxers are a good option if you want to move away from poly and cotton. I use Tufte Wear myself.

I don't know if I'm more bothered by the shrimpy shirt collar being completely uncovered by the lapels, or by the bad fit of the jacket collar at the neck.

I replaced all of mine with the uniqlo tencel boxer briefs a while back and for some reason they've discontinued them. I don't think anybody else is making tencel/modal underwear nearly as inexpensive as uniqlo was. I also got a couple pairs of the airism boxer briefs but I don't like them. They don't breathe.

This is disheartening.

I made the switch to the tencel ones last summer and had been waiting for them to reappear on the site so I could pull a Costanza and load up on enough pairs to make underwear laundry nearly irrelevant.

I hesitated on trying to Airsm because I'd heard others had found them to be lacking compared to the tencel.

Me Undies are intriguing, though I read a few people elsewhere saying that they started to pill pretty quickly, which seems lame for underwear that goes for $16 at a discounted rate.

Those CM collars where the points tuck underneath the lapels.

I don't know anything about suits so I went through lookbooks and the majority of them had something like this:

MTM isn't necessarily time consuming or taste demanding. You pay someone to dress you. My only regret is that I didn't go straight up CM and instead went for some cute SWD stuff that looked out of place. But no one cared or noticed.
That second one is just a terrible fit on the jacket.

Also, the top one is just called a "semi-spread" collar, nothing is hidden about it. That's the way most collars should look.

Don't get me wrong, you can do an outfit like the second (I have something nearly exactly like that from Jil Sander), but it being "SWD" and not conforming to the proportions of CM suits does not excuse it from just fitting terribly. I would call bullshit on anyone who tries to argue that that jacket on the second outfit is fitting the way the cutter intended.

It was from one of the recent Raf/Jil Sanders seasons, so I don't know what to believe. The decision was to go CM and adopt an aesthetic I didn't identify with or understand, or go with a suit from a designer I appreciated.

Ive had MeUndies for over a year and no pilling or any issues of any kind. Except the horizontal stripe boer that developed holes. I called them and they sent me a free pair of the same type. It also developed holes. So I called them again and then sent me a free pair of a different look. I dunno if it was that fabric or what but I freaking love what i have. Wont buy anything else now.

What I ended up going with was a Dries suit/tie with a Margaret Howell shirt, something inbetween a point and spread collar:

Again, not that anyone noticed or cared (I noticed because I post on this forum), but I was the only one with a shorter jacket and that type of collar and plain toed shoes. So it felt like I was dressed wrongly according to CM standards, but it was a deliberately choice based on my SWD experience. I didn't want brogues because I thought they were ugly, didn't want that type of collar cuz I thought too conservative.

Also, props for identifying the close-up of a random runway photo.

What's a hidden spread collar? And if everyone was wearing made to measure didn't they also spend some time on their suits? Also what's a yuppie in 2016?

yoooooo @whodini
I'm gonna be in LA for two seconds in August let's not hang out

Ya wassup to you too.

Unless they've changed the cut recently, I found the seamless ones to be kind of awful. Basically zero pouch.

Ok big guy.

I bought a delicate wool knit from y!j that has a pretty strong cigarette smoke smell.

Does anyone know what's the best way to wash something like this by hand?

Has anybody tried the new Aesop deodorant? I like the original scent but I'm almost out and curious how the new one smells, there's no shops anywhere near me to try it though. I know there's a bunch of Aesop fans on here.
