1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yeah, sorry. I am no help.

There are probably some good places off of Times Sq. but mostly there are a lot of giant tourist joints. I've only been to Hakkasan which is kind of pricey but pretty good Chinese. New Yorkers gotta step in to help you here.

^^ Yes, but be ready for long waits. Best to go on the coldest, snowiest winter nights when fewer (other) tourists would be in Times Square.

On another note and speaking of sapeurs, has anyone seen the show States of Undress?

    https://www.viceland.com/en_us/show/states-of-undress

I just watched the first two episodes on Pakistan and Congo. It was much better/different than I expected. Basically covers fashion weeks around the world but with a cultural / social commentary angle.

I've been watching it too. They don't get too in depth as they do have to cover one country per episode, but I do like it, same reason I like Huang's World.

    Did the money show up?

In all seriousness, he told me he lived in New Jersey. I told him I'd save him the trouble and go to Jersey myself to deliver it. Still waiting for my response.

What are you looking to spend?

Rule of thumb, don't actually go to any resteraunts in Times Square proper. They are all tourist traps that sell you overpriced cheese cake or t shirts as if you couldn't get them elsewhere. There's even a bubba gump in Times Square, because there is nothing as NYC as good ole bubba.

Who is calling Africa a country? We are living in the 2100 century and everyone has access to socialmedia and the internet, so its very much unlikely for popular fashion/culture not to spread. Especially with the growing amount of people in place like Nigeria with disposable income.

Congo is a former Belgian colony, which explains the choice of language, but dandyism started and is still for more popular in Britain. If you want to call it afro-dandy or ... it doesn't change the fact the style is growing in popularity across the continent and in Europe etc.

CNN has done the same although they also covered start up culture. Which only made it better.

Spent the day wandering round Aoyama and Harajuku checking out Comme, Yohji, Lad etc. The Nezu museum was really nice too.

Times Square is actually pretty nice on dead winter nights. In a kind of eerie walking-through-an-abandoned-amusement-park way.

No, Nigeria has very little in common with Congo when it comes to culture and sapeur is a specific thing with its own geographical and sociolinguistic center. Other french speaking countries might know of it or have some equivalent even though they're not near the two Congos but that is not the case with the Anglo-Saxon world. Once again you might have Italian food in legoland but I very much doubt we could say you've adopted a lot of Italian cultural practices.

I can say with confidence that Totokaelo has the worst customer service of any store (internet or B&M) that did not turn out to be a fraud.
