Only if people actually buy things. Which the average forum poster doesn't (at retail).

They would transfer in a bunch of stuff they don't normally keep at the store and depending on timing, maybe get a jump start on sales and/or deposits for F/W items.

Would require RSVP and be mostly Style Farmers + guests if there's enough interest.

Plus Billecart-Salmon :satisfied:

Yep, just figured it would reach a wider audience here as well.

I just wanted to see the fanboi frenzy, but I was grossly disappointed.

Here's an RFT for the three people who still follow Damir Doma:

This season, I've noticed he seems to be trying a different pricing strategy. Like, you'll still see $1500 garments with intricate textures and stuff, but now they're coupled with other pieces in fabrics like cotton twill that sell for maybe $500ish, all under the mainline umbrella. Considering it's been hard to mention the label lately without also talking about its struggles, I was curious as to whether the different "product tiers" were a conscious strategy or, I dunno, a consequence of just choosing to design in cotton twill. Business of Fashion doesn't tell me anything. Either way, it's an interesting move.

if you're feeling really bored on this Friday afternoon here's a NYT piece on a fashion "influencer"

That piece reads like a profile of Kilgrave discovering his powers

"I dunno man, I was just here doing my thing and all of a sudden I have thousands of followers and piles of money"

Hasn't social science shown that "influencers" don't really work that way but marketers have chosen to ignore these results because it is much easier and cooler to hang out with a couple of cool kids than to actually reach an audience through boring means?

180k instagram followers is nothing these days, high end prostitutes are often in the millions.

LOL at the idea of social science having settled something.

So is Yoox selling current season stuff now as well?! I was just browsing and came across a bunch of new SS16 things at full price.

Ooh which brands? My experience has always been that Yoox does what it wants, which includes convincing Toasty that the fishnet military jacket he bought was totally made by Lemaire

High end prostitutes have instagrams?

You know the type "model", but their agency is gmail and/or their profile has business inquiries email, but they have no business and they are always on a yacht all alone in Dubai. Basically anyone hanging with Bilzarian.
