1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Young dude at my gym today was undressing and I noticed he was wearing sock garters. I was impressed.

The stated goal of the brand was to design basics for the average guy even though the staff is made of hardcore fashion people. I don't wear it but if you need a nice pair of slacks or a sweater it is ok.

Seems like those would go with your wardrobe pretty effortlessly.
    Too feminine.

When i see the $500 Givenchy tees on MrP I think "that's so stupid" and "that's a brilliant con" at the same time

I'm old, though. Don't trust me. Back in my day, streetwear was Jncos and a wallet chain.

It fits into that entire emerging class of luxury products. I think it's stupid, but we're also at the point where we have luxury sneakers, jeans, sweatshirts, gym socks, hoodies, etc. It's not just about athlesuire (although that's a class within this category), it's about making luxury-end, super-casual items.

If you have $1,000 Tom Ford sneakers, a super expensive t-shirt to go along with it makes sense.

Comme des Garcons had a runway show back in the mid 2000s that had lots of pink Vans-alike sneakers (and lots of pink generally) that was pretty cool (well, IMO). Pretty grunge / psychedelic styling. Actually I guess 90s nostalgia, grunge, gender bending are all pretty in now, which may help explain it.

The ones VanVeen is referring to are much paler.

I had a pair of bright almost florescent pink adidas back in 04ish.
