Do you got any opinion on Dana Lee or MHL?

Feel the same way about both of them, although I like the stronger Los Angeleno vibe in Dana Lee's designs. Sort of that looser, boxier cut that you imagine someone wearing on Sunset Blvd with leather sandals.

Anyway, I'm more likely to buy from any of those lines than Dries Van Noten or whatever, but I feel like there's a difference between where you spend your money and where you might draw inspiration. It's hard to get excited about a line that does super basic, minimalistic clothes (at least for me).

I feel both MHL and OL has way more thought behind them than AKoG, even if they're sort of "basic". I disagree that MHL doesn't have interesting cuts, and OLs profile lies elsewhere.

Best comparison for AKoG imo is "expensive YMC".

i bought a shirt and pants from AkOG a year or two back.. i don't think i've worn them more than twice for some reason.. just not something i gravitate towards. may be a bit too boring, like dww said. still costs a fair bit tho..

Good question re: AKoG. Every once and a while I get really into the provenance of clothes, and want something classic and true to the source. I pick it up, admire it, but hardly ever wear it. I like the idea of timeless classics, but I lean more on the fashion-is-change side of the spectrum.

I'm looking at helmut lang sponge fleece curved legged joggers. Are there cheaper alternatives (maybe different fabric)? Or should I just go for the lang's?

Firmament for sure. Actually that's probably pretty perfect for you with your recent guerilla group steez. Carry acronym and sisp and the Nike acg stuff.

Totally agree. What I like to wear ≠ what I like to look at.

    I've never been, but Darklands?

Also, styfobros in direct response marketing (I'm sure there are some of you out there): Do you look at direct mail campaign performance based on drop date (the day the mail house sends the piece) or expected in-home date (the day recipients are supposed to get the piece in the mail)? My inclination is the former, since it's more concrete and easier to capture (seed lists give a rough idea, but it's always going to vary), but I'll concede that the latter is more relevant to recipient responses. Thoughts?
