This so much, tech fabrics smell like ass the second you sweat in them the wicking shit is such bullshit. I work out in sweats and a wife beater with an LA cap.

I'm coppin PL when I go to japan, and champion. Probably loop wheeler too. Nothing else will fit.

Is there a brand in this space that really stands out from the rest? What's the difference between the guy buying Nike leggings versus picking up a pair Uniqlo heattech long johns apart from the "technical fabric"? We are talking about aesthetics more so than utility here and TBH all look same to me. With the exception of you being unfit because athleisure more than anything emphasizes the physique. I find it bit of a "lazy trend" where it becomes less about the clothes and more the fact that the typical person wearing it in in shape of all likelihood. And I think lazy because it takes the least amount of effort to pull on tights, throw on some running shorts with the latest sleek Nike runner and say this is a style.

    It is lazy.

It was also the natural reaction to the "heritage" trend, though the marketed is big enough and segmented enough that both co-exist to a reasonable degree right now,|

Re. specific brands - I can't think of a particular standout. I suppose Acronym. Outlier, the original douchebro/everyday carry/lightweight society brand, has recently put out stuff that is mire fashionable, but they remain generally true to their DNA.
