Everyone who was a kings fan is now a warriors fan.

I'd imagine sac is pretty shitty.

What like major furniture store is OK? Need a platform bed stand, night stand, and dresser. Budget like $2.5k for all that.

Also, buying OK furniture sort of sucks when you're renting. But I feel like I'm done buying stuff from Ikea and would like slightly nicer furniture... Even if I have to move it a lot, thoughts?

That late 90s early 2000s team was really fun. White chocolate and bibby later. Stojakovich, divac, Webber, then they got turkoglu. Very entertaining.

That's where I'm taking my patterning class (though, for bags).

Really depends on your style. For my place back in Boston, I pretty much furnished the whole thing at BoConcept. I love their SAs. You can walk in and they'll do a whole design consult for whatever your space/needs and help you come out with something great. Much of their stuff will be built for you and shipped, so there is some lead time. I like to think of it as Ikea for adults. Danish sensibilities, minimal, functional style. Far better quality than Ikea in almost every respect, but still not as pricey as the major designer brands (Poliform... one day).

Anyways, I moved to London for two years and now I'm so damn attached to the stuff, I have it all in a storage facility instead of, well, just leaving it on the curb, as I did in my Ikea days. You can't move Ikea stuff more than twice, I've observed.

I guess a good rule of thumb is, if you can afford to hire a moving company to handle shit for you, then you can spring for nice furniture too. If you're calling your bro on the phone for backup and renting trucks and stuff every time you move, maybe stick with Ikea or pre-owned a bit longer..

Never really been impressed by BoConcept especially at their price point and they are too exspensive for his price point.

Ah, moved to London for two years. That reminds me too, I work for a company based out of London and I was thinking of going over there for a year to work. Would be a good experience, better than sort of just hanging out here in America. Is that what you're donig?

Yeah, something like that. My better half is here on secondment and I'm tagging along.

If you have the opportunity to come over here for a year or two on a sponsored visa, I highly recommend you consider it - and not just because a British visa can be a complete bitch to get a hold of for most people. In addition to London being an all-around fantastic city oozing with culture and polite alcoholics, it's a two-hour, £50-ish flight from all the great cities of Europe. Weekends in Paris, Barcelona, Florence etc... no problem.

Right! It's a bit rainy for my taste, but the vacation spots would be amazing. I think I might start trying to get a sponsored visa.

I've been happy with Smartwool. Easy to find on sale at Campmor.
