Fucked up thing about nice clothes and being accustomed to them is that you analyze the quality of everything else around you while becoming allergic to all kinds of cheap shit.

So I have this Esemplare down vest and there are 2 tiny holes on it and the down leak out here and there. It's minor but kinda bugging me. Any solutions? Using tape to seal the holes I guess?

You can get the material re-woven. It's basically someone reweaving the fabric, using as-close-as-possible matching thread/ yarn. Try French American Reweaving Company in NYC and Best Weaving & Mending online.

i think if you like your job you let it go. Boss should of offered dry cleaning or something but if it was a tiny mark he wouldn't think much about it. Remember ppl on SF care more about clothing then others. Your boss while making 3x what you do may simply not care about clothing nor know the value. He sees it as oops i made a small mark on someones jacket.

don't make an SLP jacket be your career ending move.

Ok thanks. Think I will try the Seam Grip first to see how things turn out. They are really tiny holes like someone pierced the vest using a needle, not really worth sending it to NYC.

Gonna be in Chicago til Tuesday. Anyone around / recs for things to do? I'm pretty free tomorrow evening and Friday until early afternoon, my to-do list includes deep dish pizza, touristy photos, and probably some of the local shops.

Who can shed some light on the fact that Mr.Porter is selling two identical Thom Browne sweaters for $780 and $1312?

I've heard of brands charging slightly different prices for different colorways of certain items (along the lines of $545 for white sneakers vs. $575 for black sneakers), but this is ridiculous.

EDIT: I emailed them, the price was wrong, and the more expensive version is now $875 (though that's still $95 to change from grey to for navy).

The descriptive wording is not identical, but the items & features are, except for the colour.

Is anyone checking out the Alexandre Plokhov sample sale today or tomorrow in NYC? Please let me know if you're willing to proxy.
