Ah wasn't paying close enough attention. Are Aussies as concerned with comfort over style as they are in the US?

I want to give you a serious answer but I'm too pissed/pissed off that that you conflated the glorious nasal relaxed drawl that is the Australian accent for some posh pom bullshit. Up yours you seppo prick, I hope you drown in all your "freedom".

    Hooroo

Are Visvim outwear something that gets replicated by fakes?

Sorry for the dumb question, wasn't sure if this was something I should look out for.

Why are "baller boots" about 90% black? It makes no sense for a company like Guidi, specifically, which object dyes it's shoes, and have the capacity to do incredible colors. Are end customers just so unadventurous in their tastes?

Pretty much yeah. Colorful boots are easily slipped into the tacky category

How do taupes and greys and browns, as well as the occasional red and blue, get slipped into "tacky?"

I can sort of understand the lack of colours - I struggle to work navy shoes into fits without the boots/shoes dominating, but the lack of browns confuses me.

I suppose black clothing does dominate high fashion though.

    They generally are?

I mainly wear black boots but also have grey, white and brown onnes of all shades. They have to be considered more carefully. Wearing grey margiela chelseas as I am typing this.

I find that taupe goes with a lot more things than black. Blues, contrasting browns, greys... black, for me, is pretty limited that way.

Also, i find that concept of "tacky" to be very counter to the anti-bourgeois rhetoric that I hear a lot from guys (and girls) who wear this stuff. Fuck "good taste".

Wait, when did Margiela make gray chelseas? I don't necessarily love the Bottega ones, but the suede shades are nice.

 Any one of those could almost be Carrie Fisher in Harrison Ford's costume.
I'm with you from black and brown through grey about as far as [dark] navy and oxblood, but it seems to me you answered your own question there.
+1, except my only white footwear is sneakers
